Bands
I play music with three bands based in the North-East of England, each with its own musical style:
Muddy Line
I actually left this band several years ago, but they've lured me back to play fiddle and bazouki in their Americana influenced set. You can still find some of our past exploits on YouTube by visiting the Videos page
Appletwig Songbook
This is a five-piece electric folk-roots band playing a mixture of traditional and original material (written by singer Rich Scott). I joined this band when it formed in 2009, playing fiddle, bass, guitar and backing vocals. The band has released two CDs: The Miners' Welfare (2010) and Dying To Live (2019) both of which have received extensive airplay in the UK, Canada and Australia (visit band website).

Jammshed
I joined Jammshed in 2018, playing drums, percussion and backing vocals. Originally called Sleeping Dogs, the band performs original material written by singer Mike Soanes. The band has released a number of CDs of original songs, a mixture of blues, jazz and modern folk-style ballads.
The full band is an 8-piece ensemble which includes cello and a three piece horn section, and performs at a variety of venues, private functions and festivals (visit band website).

Heartbeat
This is a seven-piece 50s Rock and Roll band, in which I play rhythm guitar and sing backing vocals. Led by Don Sweeney (Champagne Entertainments) The band also performs as The Sensational 60s Band. The band plays corporate functions, weddings & private parties, fundraisers and themed events.
